Family Law Mediator
I completed my Family Law Mediation training in 1998 and have participated in many Family Law Mediations, both as attorney for clients in the process and as the neutral Mediator.
Mediation allows for the assistance of a neutral third party to help divorcing couples create and evaluate options for the transition from marriage. The Mediator is often able to help couples become unstuck from entrenched positions and overcome obstacles surrounding the issues they face.
Mediation is a voluntary attempt to find a win/win solution to a dispute by identifying the interests of each party. Often, in the Collaborative Process, Mediation is used as a last-ditch effort to avoid impasse and litigation-the Mediator provides the fresh approach needed to help the parties reach agreement. Clients generally split the cost of a single mediator.
