Cincinnati Collaborative Divorce Attorney
A Passion for Collaborative Family Law
There are few greater examples of good fortune than to find your life's passion. I was extremely lucky. I have found mine.
I use my passion to serve clients by steadily building on my nearly 35 years of business and legal experience and by developing my natural ability to serve my clients' best interests through conflict resolution. My qualifications include:
- I am one of only 106 Certified Family Relations Law Specialists in Ohio.
- I am a member of four Collaborative Law organizations, including the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. I served as the chair of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals from 2006 to 2008.
- I have served as a guardian ad litem for children and incompetents in the Hamilton and Warren County Courts of Domestic Relations.
- I completed my Family Law Mediation training in 1998.
- I hold an AV* rating through Martindale Hubbell's peer review rating system.
- I have been a designated Ohio Super Lawyer since 2004.
My Clients Quickly Learn that Collaborative Law Is a Better Way
I have practiced Collaborative Law and Mediation exclusively since 2008 because I know that the Collaborative Law process almost always surpasses litigation in its ability to address people's feelings of fear, anger and distrust and to lead, ultimately, to a resolution that best serves each family member's best interests, including yours. As one recent client wrote:
"Friends encouraged me to get a "shark" lawyer...luckily one friend...suggested the Collaborative process. My husband and I...made decisions based on what was right and fair for all concerned. It was an open and honest forum. No lying, no hostility. I feel very positive and hopeful regarding my future. My ex husband and I remain friends and our two children benefit. We are working together regarding our shared parenting."
Every facet of our culture tells us that litigation is the best way and, often, the only way to resolve differences during divorce. But THERE IS A BETTER WAY. To learn more about me, my practice and how the Collaborative Law process can bring you and your family a better future, contact my office.
